Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a Indian actor, singer-songwriter and performer. She is mainly involved in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum, a Malayalam film, was her Malayalam debut as an actor. Andrea Jeremiah has been identified as an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father works as a lawyer in the Madras High Court. There is a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah was raised in Chennai. He was a student at National Public School. After his graduation, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea was a classes in classical piano when she was eighteen, was called a "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric nurse until the 12th grade exam. Young Stars is a Jackson Five style group that was her first group when she was 10 years old that was the basis of her music and singing career. She performed as an actor at her university and participated in several plays produced through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She served as President of the Women's College's Student Senate. Andrea started her acting career as an infant performer acting in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in the Leo Coffee commercial alongside Shiva. She also appeared in a show that was shown on Podhigai. She performed throughout India. She performed a very brief part in Kanda Mudhal in 2005, which is the finale. She sang a song for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. The director asked her to join the female lead characters on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani who is married and mother of a man with an affair. Andrea was picked to play the character following the actresses Simran Shabana as well as Tabu were invited to audition for the film. It was released early in 2010. In August 2011 Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. She was asked to play a minor part in the film. Annayum Rasoolum which is a romance film made by Rajeeev Rath which was released in 2013, marked her Malayalam debut.
